A good idea thats not only tricky but a tad off.

Before I say anything, I want to explain what I mean by "Off".

I found it extremely aggravating that you have NO CLUE what you are going to run into. When I was still at the rather low end of things I kept running into very well equipped buccaneers kept running into me and I had no chance at defeating them except just to hand over my stuff, until I joined the enforcers the first time i played a game on this and then they just attacked me automatically. I always hated that.

Anyway great game otherwise, Perhaps a sequel is in order?

Excellent! Keep this series alive though!

I really hope you plan on, or are in the middle of, making the 3rd CTC. I have absolutely loved the series since the first one.

The one thing I like about the second one, and the players pack version of it, is that theres a much wider variety of weapons to use, once you get them that is.

@ WickedOne402: You gotta be joking, right? Joey Betz worked hard to improve the graphics over the first CTC, you haven't played the first one have you?

@ Wicked, simmer1 & everyone else that thinks this is alot like angry birds:
SORRY, it's not really like angry birds. If you haven't noticed, this series came out a year or two (if I remember off the top of my head) before Angrybirds did. PLUS, you get to CHOOSE what you throw at the forts. In angrybirds as well as Seige Hero you're stuck with what the game gives you for each level, which I find not only rather stupid, but also annoying, as it is one more factor in taking down a fortress you have yet to crush. Technically, Crush the Castle is the King of it's Genre, and only It's sequels have been able to come toe to toe with it and beat it. I'm ashamed at all of you.

And lastly; @ Kgupta1968: Now this guy I agree with, but compared to angry birds, CTC is like the Alpha bear and Angrybirds is the wannabe fox. We all know Angrybirds is NEVER going to beat CTC, even if a sequel of angry birds comes out. And not to mention that CTC is also available on the I-phone and I-pad, so it's surprising a game like this isn't more popular than Angrybirds.

Great game, Excellent graphics, Great gameplay, what is there more to love?

Here is an idea though. Have you attempted allowing players to go against each other? Trebuchet against trebuchet? while trying to knock down your opponents castle first? That would be an amazing addition to the game if you could figure that out.

10/10 from me.

This either ends 2011 with a BANG...

Or starts 2012 with one...

To me, this has a Quake 2 crossed with Alien sort of feeling to it (Since I have actually played Quake 2 and have seen Alien Ressurection (AKA Aliens II).)

I can tell you. RIGHT now, dear readers, if you are easily scared of nasty monsters coming out of nowhere and attacking you screeching at the top of their lungs, DON'T play this game! Consider this a health warning. Now dont you guys ignore this and crap / wet yourself, otherwise i'll say I told you so.

Now onto the breakdown of the game. I like the fact you threw in the night vision level, that REALLY sends the scare AND difficulty factor up. I also like the fact you can buy and upgrade weapons, thats a really neat plus for this game laser sight comes in extreme handy as well. Miscellaneous: 10/10

The gameplay is smooth, and you can go at your own pace too. I prefer clearing out the whole level before I even think about leaving it. I don't like it when enemies from another level come to haunt me. D:< (I have yet to see if that happens in this game.) Gameplay: 5/5

I also like the balancing, the first level was pretty easy, I finally lost a little bit of health a quarter of the way through the second level in that really cramped hallway and room with the flickering light in it. The night vision level, which I stopped on my first playthrough of this game, gave me the shivers. Way to use the natural human fear of the dark. Balancing & Difficulty: 5/5

The graphics are great, so are the SFX. The fact the EBE's make a noise when they see you is actually a good early warning for an incoming enemy, i found that useful to immediately eliminate threats. Graphics & SFX: 5/5

The fact you used both a money AND an XP system at once is a great idea that I think is perfect, if not a MUST for games like this, FPS's such as Raze 2, and RPG games like Sonny, stick with it man! Bonus: +2/+0

My only reccomendations if you decide to make a sequel are an expanded array of weapons (I.E a grenade launcher, a weapon which the shots of bounce off walls a certain number of times, etc.), upgrades for sight and radar ( The radar which btw was VERY useful), and upgrades for armor and maximum health. Other than that this game easily excels in every category. Hope to see an outpost 2 from you soon. Until then I will keep hacking, or should I say, "Shooting" away at this game.

10/10 from me, though I wish it was possible to give a 12/10.

Just... A little.... CLOSER......

ARGH! how in the world are you supposed to reach those little islands of rock that are so isolated! D:<

Im not going to complain you topped yourself here over the first one. THIS WAS AMAZING!

Kajenx responds:

Find all the pixies. The medals should give you a hint. ;)

I dont know why everyone is complaining...

RedVizard is right. This game is a bit challenging at times. You did some pretty good balancing here.

@ everyone Complaining about the ads, SERIOUSLY?!?! You should be the ones to be ashamed. Many of the games on newgrounds have at least ONE ad on them somewhere, especially the newer ones. Apparently these poor souls dont know a thing about how hard and frustrating it can be to make something like this that seems so simple, dont judge a book by its freaking cover!.

The only reasons im giving this an 8 and not a 10 is because theres a glitch where the SFX cease to work and that theres not alot of levels compared to other games that are similar to this one.

And finally we come to the guy below me. Mind you that Game producers here arent bill gates rich they need to get money from SOMEWHERE. Also you left out Siege hero and Crush the castle, Angry birds is on Smartphones and Google chrome. You have to buy that from what i know. So what would you prefer? Ads or pay to play?

PegasGames responds:

Thanks for your support, DECA-FADE!

Yes, fellas, we make games and live on money from these games.
Ads supports us and keep us doing what we are doing now.

Look around internet, you have to pay or you will watch ads. I to hate ads at youtube and other places, but this is how it works.

If you get your money from dad or mom think twice before write something about annoying ads in games. Developers need money to :)

Great Example of a 3d racing game.

Although it is a longshot from the big Console racing games, its an excellent standard for 3D racing games here on newgrounds.

I hope you plan on making a sequel someday. Perhaps with upgrades, money, more vehicles and tracks. Its a small start but a pretty strong one at that.

Pretty good, but the controls seem extremely jumpy

The game is good, graphics are decent, gameplay is pretty straightforward, but the controls are really jumpy to me. Sometimes when i just TAP the left or right mouse button the car just swerves out. After figuring out chaining drifts, i got 143rd on cherry mountain. Thats probably because i absolutely destroy on most racing games (I.E. NFS shift 1 & 2).

And Mariofan, really? dont blame the game blame your computer/internet speed. Yours is probably an old peice of crap if it took 10 minutes, it took mine around 5. So just because its a slow load doesnt mean it sucks. I swear some people abuse their ability to vote....

An unusual but absolutely brilliant game!

FANTASTIC! thats all i can say about how good this game is.

I strongly encourage you guys to make a sequel, this was absolutely amazing!

A good idea but Shaky in execution

As a level 40 on this game i have to say its pretty good, but the fact you have to pay to get 'coins' to get extra maps and weapons is a little absurd. I DO like the fact you did it with extra tank models, but weapons and maps? really? thats a major reason i dont play this game as much as others do.

You really should have made the max level higher so that EVERYONE can use weps such as grand finale and 25 ball, the fact those are in wep packs really sets me off.

Also Emerald, you can get that much XP in a one on one game easily. Its harder to get over 300, which I have done.

anyway 9/10 from me

A strange turn for the series...

i DO like this series, i really do. But to me, this doesnt really seem to fit the rest of the installments, its more like a kids board game version instead of the real maiming and slaughter of the past three. HOPEFULLY you put the FULL version of the fifth one HERE so it can REALLY shine. I understand you're submitting stuff from clear over in australia, but isnt there SOME way you can put the FULL game in here?
